Activities Nearby: Even if you have never "cast a line" or you are an expert angler, the Outer Banks is the place to be for fishing! With 6 piers lining the coast, there are endless possibilities to what you can reel in. Or if you are more of a "toes in the sand" type, the beaches of the Outer Banks offer a relaxing place to enjoy time with the family on the beach while casting a few lines from the shore. The Outer Banks is known for some of the best shore fishing around. The Outer Banks is a sport fisherman’s paradise.

The sheer quantity of angling opportunities makes our waters some of the best in the world. Surf and pier fishing, brackish, fly and sound fishing, inshore and offshore charter fishing – all with the season continuing throughout the year. Fishing the brackish water of the Croatan, Roanoke and Pamlico Sounds can be very rewarding. Bass season begins in April and lasts through November peaking in mid-April to early June and in September and October. During the summer, perch are prevalent. Does it get any better than that? Well, yes it does. We just happen to be located right nextdoor to the Nags Head Fishing Pier.
