Birdie's Nest holiday apartments are a gem, tucked away beside the beach on the Caribbean coast of Tobago, at Great Courland Bay. Located at the end of a country lane, our apartment house is quiet and secluded, but not remote.
Far away enough away from the village to hear just the sound of the birds and the ocean, yet near enough to enjoy the village steelband, a Carib beer at the local "rum shop", or church on Sunday! This is the real West Indies. The real Tobago. This is Birdie's Nest.
Birdie's Nest beach house sits on the shoreline, facing the sea. It is perched on a slight slope and enjoys a clear, cool, elevated view of the beach and the ocean. It is a typical two-storey West Indian house, divided into three beach holiday apartments. A single two-bedroom apartment occupies the entire upper floor of the house. The lower floor is divided into two one-bedroom self-contained apartments with lockable dividing door enabling them to be converted into another spacious two-bedroom accommodation when required.
All three apartments feature very AFFORDABLE RATES. In addition to comfortable, hospitable accommodation, we can also offer guests affordable car rental.
You'll have the Caribbean Sea, a mile long sweep of sandy beach with coconut palms and magnificent sunsets and Giant Leatherback turtles .... and a quiet West Indian beach house. The sun seem to set for you alone - creating magnificent memories of skies the colour of fire. Or other sights to rival the sunsets - the stunning brilliance of the tropical moon in a starry Caribbean night and the sounds of nighttime, while in the background waves break on the shoreline. By day there are humming birds and other species feeding amidst mango, coconut and banana plants.

| Birdie’s Nest, Tobago Reviewed February 7, 2013 “Prince”, our friendly and helpful host aims to offer his guests “perfection”, and in the Tobago setting, he is there. This report confirms all the positives in the other “My Tobago” reports, but adds a final thought as a challenge to the danger of complacency! We have just come to the end of 2 blissfully relaxed and comfortable weeks, in which we self catered and chose not to use car hire, so we challenged the facilities and the locale of Black Rock to their fullest extent. The 100% positives include the infinity pool with its silky water, the endless supply of piping hot water, the comfortable bed, and the peace of the complex and its surrounds overlooking a deserted beach. The feeders in the garden brought many of Tobago’s birds to the doorstep. The apartment was immaculately clean and well provided, including TV and radio with BBC channels. Prince provides his own map to Black Rock which locates shops and places to eat and drink which we found indispensable during our first days. We enjoyed one meal out at Fishpot. The basic food stuffs are to be had in Black Rock, but we found it necessary to take the bus to Scarborough for extra “variety”. We also took the bus to Charlottesville which is a long and winding drive, and did not seem to offer any more attractive beaches or views than the one at the bottom of the garden, or in Stonehaven Bay. So, to close. Our final thought.....the kitchen needs a lime crusher for our Rum Punches! Prince has promised this will be supplied.
This was the trip of a lifetime for my eleven year old daughter and I. Birdie's Nest Garden apartment was perfection. It is in a great location overlooking Black Rock Beach within walking distance of other beaches. The three apartments provide for privacy and relaxation and the pool is a dream: it is clean and fresh and beautiful at night.The village of Black Rock is friendly and very convenient. Prince and his mother, Princess have a stellar guest house. It is so clean and comfortable. They have thought of everything! Prince even had fire works for New Year's Eve (Old Year's night)
They are so kind and helpful. Prince took care of all my travel questions and helped me with return flight seat reservation. I really appreciated his kindness. We will be going back. Thank you so much Prince! Stayed December 2012, traveled with family |

Deposit: A deposit will be required to confirm your reservation. The amount payable is dependent upon the duration of the booking and full details will be discussed by email. The balance will be due for payment on arrival.
Cancellations: No refunds can be made for cancellation, but guests may use the deposit against a re-booking at a later date.
Arrival/Departure: Arrival time - 3:30pm (earlier if the Apartment is vacant)
